Frankenstein's monster is composed of old, lifeless, and unloved parts, which, when sutured together, create something new and amazing. That's what Shock Theater is doing here. One turkey of a horror film might lack the basic awesomeness to coax you out of your laboratory on a cold, dreary evening, but this double bill is schlocked and loaded! First up is Italy's Lady Frankenstein in all its murky glory. After Baron F. (Joseph Cotten) and his monster die, his even more deranged daughter (Rosalba Neri) creates a new monster to fill her void—literally and figuratively. The uncut European release is being shown, so don't forget your trench coat.

Then we have Frankenstein's Daughter, a real stitch from the late '50s. Dr. Frankenstein's mad grandson steals a concoction to turn a pretty girl into an ugly she-beast. Not content with her terrorizing of teenage pool parties, Frank the Younger reanimates his grandfather's prized creation, only with a girl's brain. (If you thought the original monster was childlike and irrational...)
